General Instructions for
Applying for Fellowship in the
International Academy of Toxicologic Pathology
Please review the Assignment of Points form. You must have 67 points to be
eligible for fellowship. Please review the online application, including instructions
for organizing your curriculum vitae, and the list of supporting documents
to familiarize yourself with what will be required. Once you have gathered
all your information, please create a user ID and password to access the online
membership application. Complete the online application and upload your supporting
documents as either Microsoft Word or pdf files.
You application will be forwarded to the Academy Secretary for completeness.
The Secretary will contact you if there are any questions or additional information
is needed. Once your application has been reviewed for completeness, it will
be sent to the Academy Accreditation Committee for review. You will receive
written notification of the results once the review has been completed.
Criteria for Accreditation
The criteria for accreditation in toxicologic pathology by IATP are divided
into three areas:
- Education and Training
- Professional Experience
- Demonstration of Scientific Judgment and Recognition
Applicants must demonstrate accomplishments in all three of these areas.
Supporting Documents
The following list of supporting documents must accompany your membership application.
- A copy of your current curriculum vitae. Your CV must be organized in
accordance with the IATP CV Instructions. CVs that are not organized according
to these instructions will be returned.
- Bibliography
- Degree and post-doctoral training documents
- Electronic files of four to six peer reviewed publications
- List of 15 relevant company reports
- List of 5 carcinogenicity company reports
- List of memberships to professional societies
- List of awards for significant contributions related to toxicology pathology
